Study to become a Radiographer with support from Region Kalmar län
We offer you, as an already employed person in Region Kalmar län, compensation for travel, accommodation, and student literature while you study to become a radiographer in the Radiography program (180 credits) at Jönköping University.
During your studies, you will be on study leave from your regular position in Region Kalmar. After completing your education, you will be employed as a radiographer at the Radiology Clinic.
The theoretical part of the program is primarily conducted as distance studies, while the introduction and practical training for clinical placements are conducted at the Health Sciences School in Jönköping. During the clinical placement, you will be placed within Region Kalmar län at one of the hospitals in Kalmar, Oskarshamn, or Västervik. The clinical placement comprises approximately 24 weeks spread over three years. Eight days of clinical placement in nursing may occur within Jönköping County.
The education at Jönköping University is conducted 100% online. The number of mandatory meetings in Jönköping varies between courses and terms but is around 3-6 meetings per term (1-3 days per occasion). There will also be scheduled mandatory meetings via digital meeting rooms. In addition, some examinations will take place at the Health Sciences School in Jönköping, while others will be conducted online.
Upon completion of the degree, you will receive a license as a radiographer from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Additionally, after your studies, you can obtain a bachelor's degree in radiography.
